The two-day event with a longstanding tradition of signaling the approach of summer is returning to its seasonal place of preeminence.

More than 100,000 people are expected to flock to the streets of Little Italy for the Mission Fed ArtWalk on April 30 and May 1.

“It’s going to be nice to be out and about at this time of year, in one of the best neighborhoods in the county,” says Mission Fed ArtWalk spokesperson Courtney Pendleton.

This will be the 38th year for the popular outdoor event. Note: Due to COVID, the 2020 version of ArtWalk was virtual. Last year, it was held in October.

Expect 15 blocks of Little Italy to be packed with 250 artists selling paintings, sculptures, photography, glass work and more.

Accompanying wall-to-wall visual arts, the festival features culinary offerings from street vendors and local restaurants, as well as performances by musicians and dancers.
